first_imgKidambi Srikanth was felicitated by the Indian embassy in Paris as the Denmark Open Super Series Premier winner reached the French capital for the French Open, starting on Wednesday.Srikanth, on Sunday, became only the second Indian to win the men’s singles title in Denmark after Prakash Padukone won the tournament in 1980.The 24-year-old destroyed Korean veteran Lee Hyun Il 21-10, 21-5 in the final to lift the coveted trophy.On Monday evening, the Indian embassy organised an event to felicitate Indian shuttlers and the event was attended by the likes of Srikanth, PV Sindhu, Ashwini Ponappa, N Sikki Reddy, B Sai Praneeth, HS Prannoy, Satwik Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty and Pranaav Jerry Chopra.
