Grab your hat and hiking shoes and get orienteering to celebrate Arbor Day.Orange County Environmental Protection Division staff will conduct an orienteering event for youth ages 8-18 to learn how to use a compass. Participants will have fun locating and identifying Florida Native Trees on Pine Lily Preserve.For safety and comfort, participants are asked to:Wear a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellentWear long pant and closed-toe shoes; hiking boots are recommendedBring a filled water bottle; water will be provided for refillsCheck-in begins at 9 a.m. and the event will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.Tickets are free, but registration is required.
